Chasse-Galerie :
When I was a kid, my hero was E.T. I wanted to fly in front of the moon just like him, riding my bike into the night, carried by something bigger than life. Back then, I thought only movies could make me travel that far… until the day I discovered the legend of La Chasse-Galerie.
That changed everything.
A group of lumberjacks, lost deep in the winter woods, willing to do anything to reach the ones they love. A pact with the devil. A canoe lifting off the ground, slicing through the night sky like an arrow. Fear, magic, love, madness… all woven into the same story.
I became attached to this legend because it feels like us. Like the pacts we make in our own lives, out of love, out of loneliness, out of our need to feel alive. Were those lumberjacks emotionally dependent? Maybe. But in their own way, they were chasing what we all chase: not spending the New Year alone.
So yes, they were ready for anything. Even risking their souls. Just to feel, for one night, that powerful human truth:
To be loved. To be awaited. To belong to someone.
And that’s what I want to express in this guitar. Not just a legend. But that fragile line between love, madness, and the human need to feel alive, alive enough to fly across the sky for the ones who matter.
