Día de los Muertos :
November 2nd has always held a deep meaning for me, for very personal reasons.
In this piece, the black butterflies symbolize liberation, the soul lifting, freeing itself, continuing its journey beyond what we can see.
The black candle, with its eternal flame, reminds us that we never truly disappear. We remain here in some way, in someone’s memory, in an emotion, in the traces we leave behind. A presence that keeps burning, softly, but never extinguishes.
For me, this day has never been about fatality. It is a celebration, a tribute to those who walked before us, a bridge between worlds.
Día de los Muertos has always fascinated me, and it always will: this culture, this symbolism, this way of honouring life by embracing death as a continuation, never as an end.
